Be Nosy In My Room! (Well, The Zombie Parts)

I thought you guys might be interested in seeing my zombie stuff as a whole, and I'm pretty proud of it so why not show it off!

Firstly, my famous Zombie Shelf! Which has been upgraded from a shelf, to shelves, to effectively now a corner.. This is where most of my stuff is, my graphic novels, books, DVDs, Walking Dead canvas, DEAD ALL OVER print, Night Of The Living Dead film cell, few random figures. And above it all, looking down, is the Godfather of Zombies - George A. Romero's autograph and picture!
I love this corner to bits - it's the masterpiece of my room.

Secondly, my funko pop shelf consisting of 21 Walking Dead characters! This took me a while to achieve and with the help of some of them being gifts I managed to get all the ones I have wanted so far. The first one I got was Bicycle Girl and the most recent one I got was the Woodbury Walker. I have two exclusives: Biker Daryl who is one of my favourites, and the Michonne and her Pets three set which is another of my favourites. I love these figures. I think they are brilliant figures considering I am not really a collector of figurines, but funko pop has a place in my heart.

Finally, above my bed I have a Walking Dead canvas print with Rick, Daryl, Michonne and Tyreese on it!

The Science Of Zombies: Neuroscientists Reveal The Anatomy Of The Undead's Brain

The DailyMail has posted an article and it is apparent that Neuroscientists have managed to figure out the anatomy of a zombie brain - interesting.

They write that 'the neuroscientists have come up with two subtypes of the syndrome – CDHD-1, which affects ‘slow’ zombies with uncoordinated movements and CDHD-2, which is typical of ‘fast’ zombies that have no problem chasing humans in films.'

So effectively a CDHD-1 zombie is your average Joe from The Walking Dead, and your CDHD-2 zombie are those crap-yourself fast zombies from 28 Weeks Later - sod that.

It's actually a brilliant article for zombie enthusiasts - they have so much information like causes, tips, how science can help and so on.

They reference many films and describe what causes zombiism in each film:

'The zombie apocalypse occurs in many different forms in zombie films.
Space radiation – Night of the living dead
Chemical weapons – Return of the living dead
Biological infection – 28 days later, Resident evil
Genetic manipulation – Resident evil
Parasites – Zombie town
Magic – White zombie
Supernatural possession – Evil dead
Depression - Warm bodies'

That's one of my favourite parts of the article, anyway the link is below, I don't want to ruin it as it is a great read.

Cameron Romero Announces 'Night Of The Living Dead' Prequel!!

That's right! Cameron Romero - George Romero's son - is writing and directing a prequel to Night Of The Living Dead! The ground breaking legacy now has a prequel in the mix.

It's going to be titled 'Origins' and I am so excited for this, especially as it's Romero's son.

Read more about it here: http://www.dreadcentral.com/news/87191/cameron-romeros-night-living-dead-prequel-origins-headed-way/

[Book] Can You Survive The Zombie Apocalypse? By Max Brallier

I really love the idea of this book. When I was reading it I was given a scenario. After I had read this scenario I was then given options and whatever one I chose it would tell me what happened next and I had to continue making choices. You have to be careful though, because any choice you make could lead to your death!

Really fun book, different from a regular story - even though there is a story line, it's just more interactive.

Lovely present and I'm so glad I was given it.

TWD - Woodbury Walker Funko Pop!

Finally! I got the final character that I needed in order to complete my set of The Walking Dead Funko Pop! Collection (Well, the set in which I aimed to complete - one of each character).

I am so happy about this and I love the little guy.

Just can't wait for the next series of Walking Dead Pops to be released! Then I really will run out of space...

Toe Tags Graphic Novel

This comic is very original regarding the main character Damien. The dead have a sort of cure where they are dead but they still remember and are able to talk and have a conscience. It's cool to see what they are thinking. The story line is good, sometimes a bit confusing but then it's easy to follow once you get used to the writing style. Finally, the art work is amazing. There are different mediums within the book and it makes a great contrast to other comics.

Zombie Brain Coin Purse

I went to Forbidden Planet on Tottenham Court Road on Thursday (8/01/15) they didn't have what I was looking for which was The Woodbury Walker Funko Pop, but I did find this nifty little coin purse which is called the 'Zombie Brain Coin Purse.'  I absolutely love it. It's pink with purple stitching of a brain and when you open it up the inside of it is green! Another cool addition is the zipper, it's a little speech bubble with a bite taken out of it and it says 'mmm... brains.'

Love this find as I wasn't going out of my way to buy it, it just happened to be there at the right time.

Zombie Bookends!

On one of my zombie shelves I have a (gradually growing) collection of zombie films and television series but the cases kept falling over, annoyingly. I was propping them up with a zombie picture and a figure on the other side. By chance I was looking on Amazon and found these really cool zombie bookends for £15.00. Not only do they do the job but they are genre appropriate too! I love them, they are such a cool, practical addition.
