Yesterday Geek Mash posted a Q&A with me about my blog and my zombie experiences and thoughts!
It was a fun Q&A and I really enjoyed giving my answers!
If you want to check out the interview go to their page here: http://geekmash.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/bftsu.html#more
I write a small blog about my Zombie collection and memorabilia. I thought it would be fun to document and share my collection with fellow collectors, people with the same interests and people who are most likely bored. I write short, pretty broad reviews and have fun doing it. If you like my blog, you can follow it on Twitter, too. www.twitter.com/strollingunwell

The Walking Dead, Season 5 Rant *SPOILER AHEAD*
Firstly, I'm going to shout SPOILER ALERT on this one. I hate spoilers so I never usually write them but I must admit I'm getting a bit impatient with 'The Walking Dead' and I'll tell you why.
After mulling over the latest episode I'm getting a bit fed up with the producers. Don't get me wrong, it's one of my favourite television series of all time but, I feel they need to calm down a bit. In my opinion they are relying too much on the shock factor of a characters death to boost ratings. 'Lets just kill off another black guy because that hasn't been done before.' Tyreese, Bob and Noah have all been killed off now, what is with that? I was gutted when Tyreese died, yes, I cried. I didn't see the point in Bob dying and I feel killing off Noah was a huge mistake. His character had so much potential, literally so much.
I understand that in a zombie apocalypse unexpected things happen. But this is a television series. I wouldn't mind if things were going a bit slow but as long as they were building up a decent storyline. Killing off random, strong and brilliant characters is not going to make the viewer happy. I think they need to start re-thinking before they kill off too many original/decent characters.

The Walking Dead - Season 5, Episode 14
Firstly, apologies for the tardiness.
Secondly, we haven't seen Father Gabriel in a while, now all of a sudden he is here, what the hell is he up to?!
Thirdly, I'm loving Abraham at the minute, and Eugene is really proving himself.
Fourthly, I'm getting ridiculously sick of that selfish mug, Nicholas.
Where was Michonne? Don't really care for Carl... Was happy he wasn't on the screen to annoy me once again.
I'm so sad for Glenn, Tara and Noah.
What is Maggie going to do with that information?
Carol?!?!
The Rick storyline is kind of following the comics...
This episode made me angry! A lot of 'oh no!' and 'what is going on?!' moments. Although I think it has been the best episode thus far since the Mid-Season Finale.
I liked the Romero style of ripping guts from the stomach.
The way I'm writing this shows my thought process because I'm trying to comprehend what just happened, as in, so much happened and I can't get my thoughts down quick enough.
Basically - bring on next week.

How To Make Carol's Cookies
Turns out there is an actual recipe for Carol's Cookies !!! I will definitely be trying these soon. How exciting!
Read about it here: http://blogs.amctv.com/the-walking-dead/2015/03/bake-your-own-batch-of-carols-cookies-with-this-recipe/

The Walking Dead - Season 5, Episode 13
I thought this was actually a really good episode. I must admit I am now tempted to try one of Carol's Cookies - Apple sauce and chocolate, yum? They should actually make these as some type of merchandise, imagine that.
I'm finding it so weird at the moment the fact they're all... clean. I'm just so not used to it now, they all scrub up well don't they? I love this though, the whole 'family' atmosphere and the little gathering. If I end up in a zombie apocalypse I think that's where I'd like to end up. But, I can't understand how they stroll around care free. I would be so on edge at the wall being knocked over by walkers at any minute.
Anyway, there was one awfully sad moment that I couldn't watch, I wish they did that differently.
But in contrast it seems a romance is possibly brewing, I'm not going to say who between, though!
This was an enjoyable episode and I'm looking forward to next week!

Zombie Apocalypse Simulator - Don't Stay In The City!
Cornell University researchers have created a Zombie Apocalypse simulator! They basically concluded what everybody thought really - get out of the cities and head to the Northern Rockies.
It is based in the SIR model as people are either:
(S) = Susceptible,
(I) = Infected or
(R) = Immune.
Although it is pretty obvious that nobody is immune to a zombie apocalypse so there are no (R)'s within this model. They state that there are no viruses that would cause the dead to rise or contribute to a zombie apocalypse (debatable?). However, if there were they believe things would get ridiculously bad, ridiculously fast!

The Walking Dead - Season 5, Episode 12
Pretty decent episode. We see the first shower scene in like, how long? I'm liking where it is at. If there was a zombie apocalypse that's where I would like to be. I'm liking the new Rick. Unsure about what Daryl is thinking. However I can't help but resort back to the comics and wince at the thought of Negan. Oh please don't show up, not for a while. Although I did see Andrew Lincoln say that he might be appearing soon :( it's going to get real, pretty soon.

Random Zombie Purchases
Yesterday was payday so we decided to take a drive up to the local(ish) shopping center, Lakeside. I didn't go with anything zombie related in mind to buy but I suppose that's the time to go because you end up always finding cool stuff.
And on this day of finding cool stuff I found a Walking Dead t-shirt in Primark, yes, in the men's section but they always have cooler clothes than the women! Anyways, I found it for £8 which I'm pretty chufed about.
I also bought this interesting looking book from Waterstones for £7.99 called 'Zombie Apocalypse' by Stephen Jones. Based in England with people's diary entries on their goings on post-apocalypse so after I'm done reading A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) series of books I shall start on this series of books.
Pretty good day!

The Walking Dead - Season 5, Episode 11
Brilliant episode. We got to see loads of zombies which I've missed and I'm loving the new character. Love him in the comics too. Rick is being a little bit annoying but I guess he's just over pre-cautious like we would all be. Can't wait for next weeks episode, things are looking up,

[Television] I Survived A Zombie Apocalypse BBC3
For all you non-Englanders BBC3 has started a new reality TV show where a bunch of people go to a zombie infested area and have to survive seven nights. It looks like it is filmed in a Zombie Run Experience type thing up North. Many of them are up North so this is why I think this.
Don't watch it.
It's a waste of time and absolutely shocking.
To be honest, the idea is good, very good. But during the opening it tells us that the zombie apocalypse started through dodgy WiFi which is a bit of an embarrassing reason. Surely they could have thought of something better. Secondly, they out right stole ideas from their zombie predecessors. They claim that if you find yourself in a zombie apocalypse head for:
A) A Prison - clearly stolen from the TV Show 'The Walking Dead' or
B) A Shopping Mall - taken straight out of George A. Romero's 'Dawn of the Dead'
Come on guys, at least put some thought into it.
Finally, the thing that put me right off the show was the people. They could not have thrown together a worse bunch of people. They are all so stupid it hurts. One girl didn't know what bedding was or what the word 'agile' meant. One, didn't know what a bunk was. One guy claimed that girls chat him up more than he chats them up and one guy boasted how he camped outside for ten nights to meet Lady Gaga. Each to their own I guess. It is embarrassing that BBC3 got these bunch of morons to represent the width and breadth of England. I'm embarrassed, severely embarrassed. The only normal person was the older, blonde lady, she seemed the only decent one in there.
It's sad because I reckon I would have really enjoyed this show, but the bunch of fools on there didn't do it any justice. I think it's safe to say I will not be watching episode 2.
